If book about Hip-Hop's history was written there would 2 or 3 chapters dedicated to Roc-A-Fella Records. And Damon Dash would definitely get a few pages all to himself. He'd insist on it, I'm sure. Well, a lot has change since those glory days. Dame Dash is foreclosing on multiple homes and has been reduced to nothing more than a humble guy seaching for a boost on the side of the highway. All the while, Jay-Z is a King on a one-seater throne.
If you ever met Dame back in the day you wouldn't have liked him. He was loud mouth and arrogant asshole. He didn't respect many people. In fact, he seemed to relish in the fact that he could piss anyone off in 30 seconds of less. But he was Jigga's right hand man. So, we gave him his props.
Somewhere around 2004 (or so) Jay-Z and Dame parted ways. Dame had a short run with reality show about him being an asshole and a record label that didn't put out any music. But that's all gone, now. Jay-Z, on the other had, has Roc Nation, hangs with Bill Gates and Warren Buffets, and spanks Beyonces bootylicious backs on command.
Damn, Dame what happened? You should have been sharing the throne.
