Some of you may not know this but Grand Puba is the father of the 'backpack' rap generation. It happened by mistake. He showed to Arsenio Hall's show rocking a Tommy Hilfiger knapsack for no apparent reason and the knapsack thing took off. After that it seemed every rapper needed to rock an backpack with nothing in it. True story.
This song is a classic because it will always be true... this shit is soooooo outta control now it's crazy.
Today's events got me reminicsing about the good ol' days. Ja Rule's last big hit was memorable from the video of Bobby Brown with the obvious coke face steez. Hold your head, Ja... and keep your back to the wall. It ain't gonna be easy in The Beacon.
